Securing a license in plant operations can enable you to enter many different fields in the workplace. You can use your license to gain work in the construction industry, government work (road works), local council, quarry work and mining operations or operating machinery for contract work.
These courses are competency based training programs that require students to be trained to a level suitable to achieve all elements necessary for assessment.
Grafton Community College is a registered training organisation specialising in: Plant Operations; Heavy Machinery Licenses; OHS tickets; Transport and Logistics and offers the opportunity to obtain these licences which you need before you can start work in the civil construction, road works or any construction worksite.
The Grafton Community College is now offering a special (3 for the price of 1) of $1500 to train students in Front End Loader/Backhoe, Excavator and Skid Steer (Bobcat) this will be a substantial saving. The student will receive proof of training with an Operators Card which will be recognised across Australia.
You also have the choice of being trained in one of these three pieces of equipment for the discounted fee of $650.

Students receive hands-on practical training from fully qualified trainers. The course also includes OHS instruction, log book and plant operator manual.
Students must be at least 18 years old when applying to WorkCover for certification.
